Terms of Service
These terms govern use of almorasites.com and the websites and booking tools Almora operates for local service businesses. By using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
Almora designs, builds, hosts, and manages websites and booking tools for local service businesses. Demonstration sites are illustrative previews prepared for a business and are not offers by Almora to perform that business’s services.
2. Accounts
Businesses using Almora agree to provide accurate information and to keep their sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@almorasites.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Text messages
Entering a mobile number is never on its own agreement to receive texts. We send service text messages about job requests and bookings only to people who have separately ticked a consent box that is unchecked by default: business owners in the notification settings of their Almora portal, and customers on a service request form. Leaving it unticked still lets you use the service, and a number given without it is used only for a phone call. Message frequency varies with activity, typically 1 to 5 messages per job request and no more than 20 per month, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. The full consent experience is published at almorasites.com/sms-consent-evidence, and our messaging practices are described further in our Privacy Policy.
4. Booking requests
Almora relays service requests between customers and businesses. The business — not Almora — is responsible for confirming appointments, performing the work, and for the quality, pricing, and outcome of its services. A submitted request is not a guaranteed appointment until the business confirms it.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe its security, or access data that is not yours.
- Do not submit false service requests or impersonate another person or business.
6. Business content
Businesses keep ownership of their business information — names, logos, service details, photos. By using Almora, a business grants us the license needed to display that content on the website and materials we operate for it. On a live client website we publish only business facts the business has provided or confirmed.
A demonstration site is different, and we say so plainly rather than leave it implied. Before a business becomes a client we may build a preview from publicly available information, and where a fact is missing we fill the gap with clearly labelled example content — sample services, hours, figures and reviews — so the layout can be judged. Every such block is labelled as an example on the page itself, those previews are private and not indexed by search engines, and the example content is replaced with real details before any site goes live.
7. Paid services
Prices, billing periods, and what is included are stated where a paid service is purchased. Fees are charged through our payment processor. Unless stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew until canceled.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every notification will be delivered — message delivery ultimately depends on carriers and providers outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Almora is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount the business paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Governing law, changes, contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. If we change them, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: hello@almorasites.com, or by mail to Almora, c/o Ryan Arndt, 5331 S Macadam Ave Ste 258 PMB 1129, Portland, OR 97239-3871.
