SMS consent evidence

Almora sends text messages to two groups of people, and both must actively opt in first. This page shows the complete consent experience for each, so it can be reviewed without an account. It is published for mobile carriers and The Campaign Registry, and kept in step with the live product.

Who sends these messages

Almora (almorasites.com) is operated by Ryan Arndt, a sole proprietor in Portland, Oregon. Almora builds and runs websites with online booking for local service businesses such as plumbers. Those businesses are Almora’s own clients.

Almora is the sender of every message described here. They go out from Almora’s own platform and Almora’s own phone number, every message body begins with “Almora:” and names the business the recipient dealt with, and both consent checkboxes name Almora as the sending party. Questions can be sent to hello@almorasites.com.

Opt-in is collected on web forms only. There is no keyword enrollment, no paper or verbal sign-up, no purchased list, and consent is never shared, sold, or transferred.

Path 1: business owners (behind a client sign-in)

A business owner signs in to their own Almora portal at almorasites.com/business, opens the Settings tab, enters their own mobile number, and ticks the box below. They then receive a text when a customer submits a job request on their website.

That screen requires a client sign-in, so the complete opt-in form is reproduced here for review: the phone number field where the owner enters their mobile number, the consent checkbox directly beneath it, and the save control. It is not a screenshot and not a retyped copy: this page renders the same component and the same wording constants the portal renders, so the two cannot fall out of step.

Notification phoneWhere job alerts go. Tick the box below to receive them as texts.

Shown non-interactive here because this page is not the owner’s account. In the portal the fields are identical: the owner types their mobile number into the phone field, ticks the box, and saves. The box starts unchecked.

The box is unchecked when the page loads, it is separate from any terms acceptance, and it is optional: settings save normally when it is left unticked, and job alerts go to the owner’s email address instead. Only the signed-in owner can tick it. Almora staff have no control anywhere in the product that can consent on an owner’s behalf, and the server ignores the field unless the request comes from the owner’s own session.

Path 2: customers of those businesses (public form)

When someone asks a business for service, they fill in the request form Almora publishes on that business’s website. They enter their mobile number and may tick a box agreeing to receive texts about their own request.

A permanently public, working example of that form is at almorasites.com/request/example. It needs no account and no access code. The consent checkbox is in the “How do we reach you?” section, directly under the mobile number field. Submitting that example writes nothing and sends no message to anyone.

The phone field and consent box from that form, rendered from the same wording constants the live form uses:

The opt-in pair from the request form

Mobile phoneHow the business reaches you about this job. The live form names the business.

It is unchecked on load, separate from terms acceptance, and optional. The request submits normally when it is left unticked, and the business calls the customer back instead. A number given without that box ticked is a callback number for the business to ring by hand; Almora never texts it.

What we send

Every message is a transactional notification about a specific job or booking. Almora sends no marketing, promotional, or advertising texts to either group. Square brackets mark per-message template variables.

Frequency, rates, and opting out

  • Frequency. Message frequency varies with booking activity, typically 1 to 5 messages per job request and no more than 20 per month.
  • Rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@almorasites.com. A business owner can also untick the box in their portal at any time.
  • No sharing. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and opt-in data is not shared with anyone except the provider that delivers the message on our behalf.

Full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
